Erin’s the name. Just got back home to Australia after a much-extended gap year in Europe. My larky little trip with two gorgeous traveling buddies became scarily real one afternoon in a hostel room in Florence, when I realised that my idea of spending six months “somewhere” had soon to begin, as my mates were about to leave for home.
An evening spent writing a list of pros and cons encompassing the lifestyles as I perceived they would be in London, Dublin, Edinburgh and Cardiff was had, and I believe Cardiff chosen (!) before being scrapped on a whim after landing in Barcelona a week later. Barcelona captured my heart, followed by Sevilla and Madrid…and soon four years de la vida a la española had passed.
While in Spain, I began this blog as a sorta visual record of what initially was an incredibly different lifestyle over there…but in the end, I busied myself with the art of living, and clear forgot to contribute to it…whoops!
So now having just got home, it’s been rehashed as an exercise in discipline (ie: actually writing instead of thinking peripherally how nice it would be to do that), as well as in remembering moments and things which have caused me to settle longer than I otherwise would to ponder them. (Those moments in particular are listed under the Little Happy Moments category.)
Have a look…I hope you find something that makes you go *?* or *ahhhhh* or *hehehe* or, indeed, any other exclamation you please!
Hi, nice to meet you !
